Rare are the images found of exhibitors showing their dogs pre 1900 when the personal camera or "Brownie" came onto the scene. Prior to then, the camera exposures were so long that impromptu images taken at shows were pretty much out of the question. So different from today where throngs of digital photographers are snapping and selling dog show "candids" to their happy clients. You will find a variety of subjects in this category that i hope give a feel for what it would be like being at a dog show of yesteryear.
