Circa early 1900’s , this is the finished restored image that I showed the video of last week on ChowTales Facebook page. The dark sepia tone was my biggest challenge to get the details from , but I managed to pull the most out of this magnificent image.  The biggest surprise were the womans’ beautiful blue(or light color) eyes

Looking at the fine details, I am still leaning toward this being Mrs.David Wagstaff of Ledgelands Kennels, one of our earliest pioneers in American chows.
I’m just so happy to have this photo. It speaks volumes of the era- in costume, decor, and of course, the type of chow that graced our homes and show rings in the early part of the century

I do my best to be as accurate as possible in my research, however many times written history finds a way to "morph" over time. I love your comments and appreciate all feedback, additions and corrections my readers have to offer to help make this a well rounded and accurate archive.
