Some time ago, one of my favorite chowists in England and breed history buff, Chris Clucas sent me scans of all the earlier Chow studbook records from The Kennel Club in England, beginning in January of 1902.   At the time when I received the scans, I was immersed in some other project and never did post them on ChowTales, yet I was referring to them constantly!  Now they are here for all to enjoy!

I’ll start with the scans from Chris’ first email and add to this during the course of the week.  What a treasure trove of helpful information for anyone doing pedigree research and wanting to know more about our breed in it’s infancy as a registered purebred .  Thank you from the bottom of my heart Chris for this

I do my best to be as accurate as possible in my research, however many times written history finds a way to "morph" over time. I love your comments and appreciate all feedback, additions and corrections my readers have to offer to help make this a well rounded and accurate archive.
