RESTORATION-1920s well dressed woman with Chow in front of Goodyear sign

This original small photo to the right had great detail in it but very strong shadows on the chow’s front.  The best I could do was bring out the middle tone details.  The outfit the woman is wearing is exquisite and I’m thrilled to have been able to get the flower shaped beaded handbag and her clothing details to show up.  She is posing in front of a Goodyear Tire billboard painted on the side of a brick building/garage.

This chow looks to be either a very dark mahogany  red color which was the most popular and desirable coat color of the era.  I am leaning toward this dog being related to the Sum Chow kennels,  because of the overall type and she specialized in deep reds.  See one of the famous SUM chows in the ad below..

I do my best to be as accurate as possible in my research, however many times written history finds a way to "morph" over time. I love your comments and appreciate all feedback, additions and corrections my readers have to offer to help make this a well rounded and accurate archive.
