LADIES KENNEL ASSOCIATION THE FIRST 100 YEARS (photo credit) – The puppy class circa 1896
The article below was one of two that I had saved for reference written by Nic Waters of Dog World UK magazine, which no longer exists since July 2017. The photo was so tiny and I did my best to blow it up to see these very famous NAMED people and chows. I’m on the hunt for the book “The Ladies Kennel Association: The First Hundred Years by Peggy Grayson” to see if there is a crisper copy (contact [email protected]). This photo and article are a priceless time capsule for our breed history archives. The mention of Queen Victoria’s Chinese dogs by name (possibly chows) is a valuable piece of information to take note of.
