NEW VIDEO – The Unique Chow Chow Gait presentation

chowtales unique chow gai ARROWtOf all the Chow history items I have posted in the archives, THIS video is quite possibly one of most crucial pieces of “history in the making” aimed at preserving the heritage of Chow breed type.

The Chow Chow’s Unique Pendulum Gait. Video presented by The Chow Chow Club Incorporated, USA.

Highly educational video: analyzing the Chow Chow’s unique gait, and guide on evaluating movement in the Chow Chow.

The Chow Chow’s unique pendulum swing is as important as the blue tongue and “oriental” scowl. Overall balance of correct front and rear angles results in full extension producing the characteristic swinging gait.

Yet, internationally this gait, a historic hallmark of Chow Chow breed type, is not found in the majority of today’s Chow Chows. Out of very deep concern, the Chow Chow Club Inc is pleased to present this video, compiled by breed mentors/judges, with the intention of guiding fellow judges in their evaluation.

This video will bring incredible insight and appreciation of the unique Chow gait to breeders, exhibitors, and all chowists worldwide…… to help our Chow Chows regain, and improve, this significant and required element; A reflection of his ancient heritage and true Chow Chow Type .

SCREENSHOT FROM THE VIDEO SHOWS AN EXAMPLE OF THE PAINSTAKINGLY RENDERED GAIT DETAILS. A MUST SEE FOR ALL CHOW ENTHUSIASTS

I do my best to be as accurate as possible in my research, however many times written history finds a way to "morph" over time. I love your comments and appreciate all feedback, additions and corrections my readers have to offer to help make this a well rounded and accurate archive.
