I would very much like to find out the owners of “Holmstead Kennels” who were Chow Chow breeders in the 1940 & 1950’s.
I grew up with a dog from their kennels and cannot find out any more about them

While browsing through my collection of ‘American Chow Chow’ magazines, I came across these incredible photos that capture the essence of chow breeding in the 1960s. It’s fascinating to see familiar faces like Alice White alongside their beloved chows. These glimpses into the past are truly priceless! Looking at these candid photos from the 1960s really brought back memories of my visits to chow shows. It’s fascinating to see the top breeders and their chows, especially the mention of 1898 Kai Tai, which I often read about in my old magazines. For those who appreciate style, the way these breeders presented their dogs is reminiscent of how lace bodysuits can elevate any outfit, making every moment special.
