I am thrilled to have finally obtained the following 5 Chow pages from this very rare publication entitled “The Dog Book”: A Popular History of the Dog, with Practical Information as to Care and Management of House, Kennel, and Exhibition Dogs; and Descriptions of all the Important Breeds. New York: Doubleday, Page, 1906. Two volumes.  Author is James Watson.

This is a Second edition of these books  of canines by variety, “as distinct members of the large and wonderfully differing family of the dog,” illustrated by numerous photographs, paintings, and rare engravings, published in the first year of the American Chow Chow club being formed
