ANTIQUE CHOW POSTCARD COLLECTION – donated to the archives by Mary Counihan

It took some time, but I finally  have all but a few of the 50 antique postcards that were graciously donated by Mary Counihan, scanned, labeled and archived. Most are undated with no postage, so that is another project for a rainy week….researching postcard backs to date them more precisely.

Most of the cards in the collection date from the 1880’s -1920’s.  Many are RPPC (Real photo postcards) which was a service photo developers would offer. Bring them your film and they would make postcards for you, featuring your personal snapshots to send to friends and family.
